Nickel 625 round bar is used for high strength, excellent fabricability and outstanding resistance to corrosion. Its service temperature ranges from cryogenic to 1800°F. Its strength is derived from the harden effect of molybdenum and niobium on its nickel-chromium form; thus precipitation hardening treatments is not essential.

Due to this alloying element it offer superior resistance to wide range of corrosive environments of uncommon strength as well as to high temperature effects such as carburization and oxidation. UNS N06625 rod temperature range from cryogenic to 1800°F.

Alloy 625 bar Material Properties

Ni 625 rod properties make an excellent choice for sea water application are free from local attack like pitting and crevice corrosion, high tensile strength, high corrosion fatigue strength and chloride-ion stress corrosion cracking resistance.

It is use as wire rope for securing cables, propeller blades for motor patrol gunboats, submarine auxiliary propulsion motor, submarine quickly disconnect fittings, navy utility boats exhaust ducts, sheathing for undersea communication cable, submarine transect controls and steam line bellow.

Potential application are springs, seals and bellows for submerge controls, fasteners, electrical cable connectors, flexure devices, and oceanographic tool components.

It has properties such as high tensile, creep, and rupture strength, excellent fatigue and thermal-fatigue strength, resistance to oxidation; and excellent weldability and brazeability which makes it interesting to be used aerospace field.

It is being utilize in such application as aircraft ducting system, engine exhaust system, thrust-reverse system, welded honeycomb structure resistance for housing engine controls, hydraulic line and fuel tubing, bellows, spray bars, turbine covered rings, and heat exchanger tube in environmental control system.
