Super Duplex Flanges
The super duplex flange material is one of several “super duplex” grades that combine high strength with great corrosion resistance.
The Super Duplex 2507 flanges, like other duplex (ferritic/austenitic) grades, are not appropriate for high or low temperature service.
Super Duplex flanges are used to join pipes, valves, pumps, and other pieces of equipment to construct a pipeline system.
Super duplex steel flanges provide for simple cleaning, inspection, and customisation. It is frequently welded or bolted together. It is made up of three parts: the pipe flange, the blotting, and the gasket. Its joints are formed by bolting two flanges together with a gasket between them to provide a seal. It may be heated to 1040 – 1120°C and quickly cooled in air or with water. A182 Super Duplex Flange is commonly welded or threaded. It gives flexibility to piping systems while retaining them by allowing for quicker disassembly and increased access to system components.
Super Duplex Stainless Steel Flanges have good high temperature oxidation resistance, but like other duplex stainless steels, they suffer from embrittlement if stored at temperatures exceeding 300°C for even short periods of time. Because of its poor hot strength, it may require assistance during heat treatment or forging. Solution treatment should be performed after hot forging.
Super Duplex Pipe Flanges come in a variety of shapes and sizes, including super duplex socket weld flanges, super duplex lap joint flanges, super duplex slide on flanges, super duplex blind flanges, super duplex threaded flanges, and super duplex screwed flanges.
