What is Alloy 400 hex bar?
Nickel 400 bar is alloy which is made from an alloy of copper and nickel. It is commonly put together in proportion of 67% of nickel and 33% of copper approximately. It has common application which include marine fixture, hardware, shaft, vessel, piping process, heat exchanger, electrical element, water, gas tank, refining equipment and petroleum production.

Can UNS N04400 bar be welded?
Monel 400 can be welded, however, it can be bit challenging due to the risk of getting crack. Stick welding will be a good option to weld it but needs cleaning and control of moisture in the coating of electrode.
Welding by TIG or MIG needs gas removing. And welding without removing it could be brittle and liable to cracking.
The best way to avoid this problem is to follow correct procedure.
